I feel the shala is another home for me, and as our homes are an extension of ourselves, it is a space that allows soft and intimate energy to be expressed. In the sweetnes of the early morning hours, when my mind is still and my heart is open, I can truly meet myself on the yoga mat, in the present moment. For me, the mysore practice represents the territory of new and undreamed possibilities, freedom, and real connection.

Ashtanga Yoga Shala is the special place where I start my days. I am here every morning, in a very warm and intimate space. The ashtanga practice offers me the opportunity to connect deeply with everything that comes my way each day. It is like a mirror. My teacher, Linda is the person with whom I want to grow. I love being there, to practice and also to teach! I am very grateful for this place and for all the people I meet there.

Early mornings at the shala are the best thing to get your day started with a boost of energy and a good mood to last you throughout the day. If you are lucky you are greeted at the door by the cutest yogi dog, Obi, with high enthusiasm. Other than that you will find a warm atmosphere, a lot of kindness from everyone and motivation to get on the mat and do your very best. You will soon discover that shala is not just a yoga studio but a community where you feel encouraged and supported.

Îmi dau seama acum, retrospectiv, că până să încep practica la Shala, îmi construisem toată viața tocmai să evit cu orice preț să mă trezesc dimineața, iar 'ziua' mea începea de fapt abia după ce se insera. Acest lucru s-a schimbat după ce am început practica de ashtanga, fiind singura activitate care a dat sens zilelor, nefiind doar timpul inutil până când începe viața reală, adică cea de noapte! Linda a fost prima persoană, în 30 de ani, la care nu am avut aversiune atunci când îmi spunea ce să fac. 2 ani mai târziu, trezitul de dimineață pentru practică a devenit un life hack pentru activarea 'easy mode' a restului zilei, indiferent ce ar rezerva ziua respectivă. Chiar dacă programul a devenit mai încărcat, de fapt am câștigat timp, timp pe care îl pierdeam așteptând să mă dezmeticesc jumătate de zi după trezire.

The Mysore Shala is the place where you come as you are and learn the most about yourself. The practice transforms you from the inside out, one step at a time. You learn to be humble, to entrust yourself to the hands of your teacher, who sometimes might know you better than you know yourself.

It is one of the most inclusive practices I've encountered and it can’t be compared to anything. It must be experienced.

În parcursul meu în ashtanga yoga am avut o aproape pe Linda mereu, ceea ce o face nu doar un profesor ci și o prietena intimă în cel mai profund mod. Linda e dedicată practicii și mereu dornică să învețe mai mult rămânând modestă și empatică și o persoana calda. Shala e locul cel mai potrivit pentru a-mi începe ziua reconectată cu mine și cu comunitatea din care am ales sa fac parte. E un loc infuzat cu onestitate și iubire și foarte primitor. E locul cel mai frumos pe care îl cunosc in oraș și sunt profund recunoscătoare ca pot să-l împart cu oameni minunați.
